Be still for a few minutes. Pay attention to anything in your mind that currently bothers or burdens you. Open your hands as a way to present those grievances before the Lord so you can be fully present in this time.

Set the scene…
For today’s scripture reading, we visit a short passage in Luke that provides context for the women who served and traveled with Jesus. Due to their gender, they represented a group that was largely unseen and unwelcome by religious leaders of the time.

However, Jesus was different. He saw them. He welcomed them. Imagine Jesus surrounded not just by men but by many women in his ministry too.
