Mary and the Life of Jesus

Set the scene…
For today’s story, we begin in Bethlehem. We will follow the passages of scripture about Mary as she witnesses Jesus’ growth from childhood into his ministry as rabbi and messiah. Though there are only a few scriptures with them together, these stories weave a beautiful tapestry of mother and son.

From swaddling clothes to grave cloths, Mary is with Jesus. Yet, much like the disciples, her expectations of the Messiah prove to be very different from the reality of Jesus' actions and teachings.
