This time, we return again to the Garden of Eden to ponder God’s creation of Eve and her role as the very first woman. While today’s verses surrond the fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3, our focus remains on Eve's calling as a mother.

Today’s image is Michelangelo’s 16th-century painting, Creation of Eve, on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. It is one of nine scenes from Genesis on the ceiling. In the center of the picture, Adam sleeps while Eve looks intently at her Creator. Imagine what is happening between them.
